For those not in the US consumer market, Black Friday is the Friday after the Christmas holidays when most if not all retailers apply massive discounts to all their products. As you can imagine, chaos ensues and it is one of the most stressful shopping periods in the world. And now it's being used as a theme a calm and slow game like Mahjong where it's normal to take a few minutes just to decide which pieces look the most appealing.

How to Play

It's tricky to mix stressful and non-stressful elements into one thing, they either cancel out or are oddly mismatched. This game takes a stressful shopping time and uses Mahjong to depict it less intensely. What it does is just change what the tiles look like so you know what you're dealing with as you play. All in all, it's like a standard version of Mahjong but with the rules altered slightly and the arrangement of tiles changed to be more casual. Unlike actual Black Friday, you can take your time coming into this experience and spend a fair amount just mulling about the game.
